Call for submissions - Monograph on “Reinventing Sexual Orientation and Gender Identities”

Dear Sir/Ma'am,

Law & Society Committee, National Law School of India University, Bangalore is calling for submissions for the Monograph to be brought out on the eve of its first edition of Gender and Sexuality seminar, "Reinventing Sexual Orientation and Gender Identities". We would appreciate you putting this call on your blog. All are welcome to make the contribution to the monograph although we are particularly keen on the student submissions. We expect the paper to be around the broad area of Gender and Sexuality. Some of the suggested areas would be:

  • Redefining Gender and Identity Politics.

  • Law and its interface with the identity questions.

  • (De) Localised gender and queer movements.

  • Framework of representation – gender and sexuality.

  • Windsor, DOMA, Naz – The beginning and the end of law in the sexuality question.

However, individuals are free to choose a topic that is of relevance, independent of what has been suggested. The papers would be selected after two rounds of peer review. The selected papers would be published in the monograph along with the papers of the panelists and the conference proceedings.

The paper should be of 5000 words (upper limit). The standard rules of formatting would apply with Times New Roman, 12 font size, line spacing: 1.5

Footnoting: Please follow Blue Book Citation (19th edn.)

Each paper should be accompanied by an ABSTRACT of 300 words. Please send in the details of the author in a separate document and nothing should be mentioned on the body of the paper which shall be sent for peer review.
