SCHOOL OF DEVELOPMENT PLANNING 

This unique University level Master's degree course designed for students interested in being professionals in designing development policy, research, creating generic planning methods and advocacy through understanding development strategy and processes in the urban and rural contexts. The SDP course curriculum focuses on imparting education to prepare qualified professionals who have studied a wide range of subjects from both the social and natural sciences, which are integral to planning for sustainable development and its management and administration.

CAREER PROSPECTS

The nature of the work carried out by CDSA graduates spans from policy research, micro and multi-level planning, training and consultancy; working with development authorities and other governmental and parastatal organizations; management and implementation of development projects, as well as establishing development organizations. Our graduates generally work in organizations such as the United Nations, UNDP, UN HABITAT, World Bank, Oxfam, National and State Governments, Corporates in CSR, Research, Training and Development organizations or start their own NGO's.
